dirty

Why waste perfectly good rain and dirt...make mud! By the time we were finished playing only a bubble bath could save us.

the hunt

Of course the weather man decided to "rain on our parade" Sunday during our egg hunt. Regardless of the rain, it didn't change the fact that there were yummy surprises hiding in the eggs!

What's an Easter egg hunt without eggs? I went Toy Story sticker crazy decorating! It may have been a close tie between me and the eggs for the most stickers.

Happy Happy Birthday to the BEST Daddy in the whole wide world! Mama "thought" that it would be a fun idea to bake Daddy's cake together...I highly enjoyed myself! To make it extra special we made a "color explosion cake". We put color inside and out...extra sprinkles of course. Messy kitchens always equal the BEST cake! I love you Daddy and hope you had the best birthday ever...well until next year that is.

good morning

Well here is how my first night in my big boy bed went...PERFECT! I didn't make a peep until 5:00 this morning. Mama said she heard a funny little noise (could have been the sound of someone rolling off the bed)and then out I came...looking kinda lost. Of course straight to the fridge I went for a little milk and then 3 storybooks later (with no hope of going back to sleep) I'm now snuggled on the couch watching Olivia. The true result of the night will be in a few hours while out shopping and needing a nap. Wish Mama luck!

night night

So Daddy and Mama let me stay up a whole hour later tonight, I think it may have been a plot to let me wear myself out...well it worked! Our night time routine from pajamas until being asleep only took 20 minutes! I think Daddy and Mama were as surprised as much as I was. Everyone said that tonight would be the worse and to them I say..."Na-Na Na-Na Boo Boo!"

After Mama said goodnight and left my room I ran after her crying, shut my door and then my room went silent. I have a feeling that Daddy had his ear to the door trying to figure out what in the world I was up to. I think it was pretty funny that when they sneaked in to check on me 30 minutes later I was curled up in my bed with Elmo. I bet that Mama was on the verge of tears...something about her little boy growing up...and wishing that she could take a picture without waking me up.

hello big boy

I don't know who was more excited about my new bed, me or Raleigh! We climbed in as soon as it was standing up. We didn't care about new bedding, crib rails, or any other "fluffy" stuff Mama did, we just wanted to play!

bye bye baby

So yesterday everything changed...I mastered climbing out of my crib. I think my best record was right around 6 seconds! You can say that I definitely kept Mama on her toes. So today after lunch "project big boy bed" went into effect. I let Mama take care of the hard part while Plex and I played in my sideways crib.

ok, mom

Mama is always chasing me with the camera so today I thought I'd give her a break and actually smile.

shhhh...

Playing in Mama's room is always more fun when no one is looking, especially since I discovered a basket full of "sparkly treasures"!
