Lock up your daughters!
bonding.
Playing together is our new favorite activity.
Presley's little personality is coming out and she is so much fun. She likes to smile, laugh, babble and really really loves playing on her mat. I can always make her smile with one of my silly faces and laugh by singing to her. I think I'm really going to love this whole "Big Brother" thing.
hide & seek.
Welcome to Bright Beginnings Hide and Seek Christmas!
I was so excited about my very first school program. Everyone said that they could hear me
"sing...scream" every word. I loved being on stage and was a true STAR!
Macy's class was apart of all the fun as well and afterwards we decided that we needed to take over the roles of Mary and Joseph so we could hold Baby Jesus.
countdown.
WOA!!
Look at this stocking!
By the looks of things I think Lolli and Grandad have the right idea.
It's almost Christmas...EEK!
bundled up.
I don't know why I couldn't have been lucky like my brother and be born in the warm months.
This bundle up everywhere we go stuff is not for me. Luckily it means there are a lot of staying in our pj kind of days. Thanks Dana for my ultra cute booties, I love them and get tons of compliments everywhere we go.
santa.
This year I had to be brave and show Presley the "ropes" of sitting with Santa. Considering that I wouldn't come within 100 feet of the man in red last year Mom and Dad didn't know what to expect.
I just told myself that if I wanted my monkey that I had to.
Here is my sweet little sister all dressed up in her Santa Baby outfit. Sorry there isn't a hair bow to complete the look, she was not having it today. As soon as she fell asleep standing in line we snuck one on.Here I am talking to Santa about my perfect monkey. He actually pulled off his glove and said that when he was a little boy he stuck his finger into a monkey cage and that silly monkey BIT him. He even had the scar to prove it. No way Jose did I want to be bit so I changed my mind to an elephant.
favorite of the month.
Just call me Miss December with these bright blue eyes. Yep you read that right...blue! Have you seen my Mommy and brother? The biggest brown eyes you've ever seen then here I am. Daddy can't even claim them. Thank you family genes I guess.
marshmallows.
This weekend my school hosted A Journey to Bethlehem where we experienced the story of Baby Jesus. I was amazed by all the animals to pet and people to talk to along the way. I actually got to pet a camel...a real life bigger than a car camel. I loved it. Afterwards hot cocoa and marshmallows waited for us at the fire pit.
Why hasn't anyone ever told me about roasting marshmallows before?
I know, I know...because I'm allergic!
Thank You Daddy for letting me eat that warm yummy mess of a snack.
I'm more that happy to scratch like crazy tomorrow for a few more.
letter.
Sending a letter to Santa is a very important job...
I didn't even have to think twice about what I wanted to ask for...
a real life monkey!
Yep...that simple.
elf.
Look who came to visit for the month...our Elf on The Shelf!!
I decided that I didn't like his name from last year so introducing the new and improved elf...
Cookies & Milk!
This is one funny little guy. He loves to play Hide and Go Seek with me every morning and at nap time. I have found him hiding in our tree, sticking out of my stocking, sitting in my hot cocoa mug eating marshmallows, hanging upside down on our wreath and my absolute favorite sitting on our kissing ball.
This little ball has been around forever...Daddy made it when he was a little boy. Lolli is very good at saving special things. After adding a new ribbon and hanging it up the kissing arch was open for business.
I have become very good at spotting people standing under the ball and attacking them with kisses.
myself.
Crocs...check.
Puffy vest...check.
Elmo underwear...check.
I dressed myself for school this morning.
Who needs pants in December? Not me!
little lady.
I've actually started to be awake a little more this week than normal...who knew there was more to eating and sleeping?!?!
heading home.
I did not want to leave Grandad, Lolli, Kiki or the cabin but was out like a light once my car seat buckled. Thanks for a great family filled week everyone!
favorites.
This was Mommy's all time favorite picture from the week. I took my two favorite ladies on a tractor ride. Presley slept through the entire thing...and I'm not just talking about playing on the tractor, she pretty much slept the entire week away. I really just think she is "storing up" energy to let us all "have it" in a few weeks.
cross eyed.
Who knows what in the world she was thinking or doing in this pic.
I'm sure she will say "Mom, why did you show that?" once she is a teenager but we just had to anyway. Hopefully it gave you a good laugh at least.
out and about.
Here are a few pics from a day out and about in downtown Blue Ridge and at Mercier's Apple Orchard. The orchard has all kinds of fun things to look at...a tractor you can "drive", a big wooden man that I think is oh so funny, a bee hive where I could watch lots and lots of bees work but the best part has to be the taste testing of all kinds of yummy goodies. I'm allergic to pretty much everything but Daddy did a very good job of letting me "try" apple fritters, fudge, cider and of course apples...Thanks Dad!!
cabin.
For the last few Thanksgiving holiday breaks Grandad and Lolli have taken the family to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains to stay in a cabin for a week...I love this family time together! We explore the town, do alot of eating and even more play together. This year I became an expert Go Fish player with Lolli and Aunt Kiki. I was especially sad to leave this year to come home and have talked non stop about going back to the mountians.
Here is a funny family picture for you to enjoy!
thanksgiving.
At preschool we celebrated Thanksgiving with a class feast. Mommy and Presley came to enjoy all the preschool fun. It was complete with a painted shirt, feather head dress and of course the all important painted macaroni necklace. We all were able to sit and enjoy a yummy meal with our new friends and loved ones.
Here is my Thanksgiving art work from class.
choa.
Sunday morning...of course the doctor's office is closed I started to have a little blood in my spit up. Mommy and Daddy didn't know what to make of it since I was my normal happy little self. The after hours nurse suggested to head downtown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to get checked out. Luckily Parker had spent the night with Na Na and Pop Pop and just made it one more. I think it might have upset him to see me with tubes and band aids. After we waited and waited I was given this tee tiny little hospital gown and hooked up to a few machines. In the end it was diagnosed as Acid Reflux and given a new medicine. It was scary for a minute, but thankfully God took care of me. The doctor said that in a week I should be a less fussy and sleepless baby.
raleigh.
Our doggie Raleigh is adjusting very well to Presley joining our family. Surprisingly he has taken right up with her. Today he went missing and I found him napping under her cradle while she slept above. We really do have the best doggie in the world, well he is until he tries to bite me...nevermind the part where I like to pull his tail and growl at him.
photographer.
Grandad and Lolli surprised me with my very own "real big boy" camera for my birthday and I love taking pictures. Here is Monk, my favorite monkey and a new little one to be his friend. I snuck up on them taking a nap in Daddy and Mommy's bed...Silly Monkeys!
fall harvest.
halloween.
Did you really expect us to be anything besides a monkey and a banana for Halloween?!?!
Presley wasn't too crazy about her costume but I loved being a monkey to hand out but especially collect the candy.
nap time.
Mom is bound and determined to make sure we get on the same nap schedule, I think she misses her cup of coffee while watching HGTV or The Food Network for at least 30 minutes of calmness...wish her luck!
alaina avenue.
We really couldn't have asked for a better first 2 weeks.
We had Lolli and Grandad stay the first few days and then Na Na came for an entire week. It was great being settled in at home and having all of our friends and family stop by too. Parker enjoyed going to school to tell all about me to his friends and Mom and I caught up on our sleepless nights during the day. I LOVE to eat and be walked around the house looking at everything, being held and kissed on isn't bad either.
monkey.
